Paul Iaboni
Paul has been a consultant and facilitator for
the Adventure Network since the early 1990's. He has a Bachelor of
Arts degree in Music Therapy and a Master's of Education in School
Counseling. Paul is a middle school guidance counselor who has designed
an adventure-based learning curriculum by utilizing a variety of
experiential activities. He has received several grants to fund the
building of both an indoor rock climbing wall and outdoor high ropes
course. Most recently, Paul was part of a team that secured a 21st
Century Grant for his school that will provide extended services
for his students and the community. To support this, he has begun
a new school-wide initiative known as "Gung Ho" which translates
to "Working Together".
Paul has over 20 years of experience working in mental health, substance abuse
treatment, and youth development. He brings enthusiasm to the Adventure Network,
and enjoys working in such a dynamic field. Paul is married and has two teenage
sons who share his love for music, the outdoors, and sports.
Personal Pursuits: To
better understand myself and the world through literature, athletics,
and the study of music.
Personal Goals: To
strive for the seamless integration of my interests, hobbies
and talents with my professional commitments. To approach every
challenge as an opportunity to teach as well as learn. To encourage
young people to be healthy in mind and body. |
