Training and Certification Options
The Adventure Network typically hosts our ‘open training’ twice a year for individuals and small groups. Participants can opt to complete the full ACCT certification (Level I or II) or attend specific training days.
Practitioners aiming for Level II certification (or challenging for Level I) are required to submit a portfolio of training and facilitation experience at least one week before testing. If you have any questions about developing your portfolio, feel free to call our office.
The Adventure Network provides professional training and certification courses for challenge course facilitators. Whether you’re a school teacher or camp staff, proper training is essential for the effective utilization of a challenge course and/or teambuilding program. Our on-site training programs enable your staff to practice on their own courses with the equipment they use daily. The typical training group size is outlined below.
We provide certification courses accredited by the ACCT (Association for Challenge Course Technology). These courses vary in duration, ranging from a couple of days to a full week, depending on experience level. You can find details on certification requirements and standards here.
